Anna JackamanVeterinary Nurse & Reception Co-ordinator

Anna joined Brighton Veterinary Hospital in February 2024, bringing with her a wealth of experience and a passion for animal care. Born in the UK, she moved to Australia in her early teens.  Completing her high school education in Sydney, Anna then moved to Adelaide with her family, where her love for animals blossomed into a career aspiration.

In 2002, she embarked on her journey as a trainee nurse, dedicating herself to the field. Her commitment and dedication led her to successfully completing a Certificate III in Animal Studies and later completing a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2005.

Throughout her career, Anna has worked in small animal practice across all disciplines including surgical nursing, consultations, triage, and client liaison.  Anna has an interest in emergency and critical care and particularly enjoys assisting pets in these critical times.

Beyond her regular veterinary duties, Anna has expanded her expertise by obtaining certification in coaching for Riding for the Disabled, reflecting her passion for equine care that dates back to her earlier nursing years.

At home, Anna shares her life with two beloved senior pets. Lucy, a brown tabby cat, has been a constant companion for 17 years and Sophie, a terrier cross, celebrated her 15th birthday last year.

Outside of her professional commitments, Anna cherishes her spare time, spending it with family, enjoying outdoor activities, and indulging in her love for horses.
